We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this hotel. Inn at Lost Creek Telluride Mountain Village, Telluride Featuring 2 rooftop hot tubs with mountain views, this resort is a short gondola ride from downtown Telluride and the ski slopes. All suites feature a kitchenette. Each suite is equipped with a flat-screen cable TV with DVD player at Inn at Lost Creek. A washer and tumble dryer, a microwave and a small refrigerator are also provided. A balcony is offered in each suite. Excellent ski in/ ski out location and close to bars and restaurants. The hot tubs are on the roof and have a nice view and are booked to guests for private use. We were able to get one whenever we wanted to book one. Great staff! Beautiful hotel with fantastic facilities, the outdoor pool & hot tub were wonderful at sunrise as they were heated to the perfect temperature & enjoyed fabulous views of the surrounding woodland & the other ski resorts.
I (f, short) was travelling alone in Madagascar aged 21 because I was on placement at a hospital on Mauritius for a month and decided go hop across to see some lemurs, speak French and 'visit an African country'. I obviously was a complete imbecile because I had no idea what I was in for. I travelled with AUD $2000 in (useless, there were barely any banks and they wouldn't accept the Australian dollar cheques) travellers cheques and almost no cash 'for safety' thinking a few family trips to Europe meant I was world-wise. Everything goes wrong. I'm followed on the streets all the time and harassed non-stop. I go to visit a tourist site out of the main town at 5am to avoid attention and get followed around by a self-appointed guide (and a kid who tails me while trying badly to hide behind trees) who then blocks my way and asks for payment as I try to leave the deserted spot. I pull a crumbled $1 note out and tell him I don't have more money because I'm scared of being robbed. He takes it looking at bit incredulous but let's me go.
